What Is Tappy?
Tappy, an AI browser extension, simplifies the process of adding thoughtful and human-sounding comments to LinkedIn posts with just one tap. Setting itself apart from other AI extensions, Tappy stands out with its exceptional comment quality.
The tool offers various applications, including sales prospecting, personal branding, and job hunting. Users can engage with prospects’ recent LinkedIn posts to stay top-of-mind, boost their own visibility by commenting on content creators’ posts, and increase candidate visibility by engaging with job postings and managers on LinkedIn.
To address privacy concerns, the Tappy Chrome extension has limited data access exclusively to LinkedIn.com and Tappy.ai URLs, as permitted by the Chrome permissions during installation. Specifically on LinkedIn, Tappy analyzes text solely from the posts on which users comment. It does not analyze all content while scrolling, ensuring compliance with acceptable practices. When users request an AI comment or reply, Tappy analyzes the text within the specific post and sends it to their API for processing.
Tappy gathers text from the post itself, including the top text and comments, but there may be plans to analyze images, carousels, and videos in posts in the future. Data security is a priority for Tappy, utilizing end-to-end encryption for all data during transmission and storage. They adhere to LinkedIn’s terms of service by not storing any LinkedIn post content. However, some basic metadata related to AI requests is saved for ongoing product improvement, and appropriate internal policies are in place to handle that data.
